When I began itineration I prayed and let go of a lot of responsibilities. I was always on the go and never had an extra minute for things. I started diving more into the word and found some much needed rest in actually RESTING. This season has been wonderful and so needed for preparing to leave for the field. The beginning of this month I came across Psalms 139. “Search me God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me”, I started examining my heart and my everyday life. Are my actions glorifying God and how can I get even closer to the Lord? I began to get rid of all distractions. I want my life to reflect Jesus in all areas. It’s definitely easier said then done. When life gets busy and stressful it’s so easy to get caught up in it and allow for that one instance or day to affect your mind and heart. So every day I have to reflect and ask God to Lead me in his way of everlasting. My goal each day is to be the light of Jesus so I can bring others into the light.
