Happy New Year!
I hope this message finds you well. The past couple of months have been incredibly busy for our team as we navigated some challenging circumstances.
In mid-November, Tropical Storm Sara brought heavy rains that caused widespread flooding, devastating thousands of people in the affected areas. Homes were destroyed, access to clean water was disrupted, and some communities were entirely cut off from main roads.
In response, our team worked tirelessly throughout November and December to provide aid to these communities. Witnessing the hardship so many have endured has been heartbreaking, but it has also reminded us of the power of coming together during times of crisis.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the incredible partnership with Convoy of Hope, we were able to deliver much-needed relief to those in need. Your prayers, donations, and encouragement have made a tremendous impact, and we’re deeply grateful for your continued support.
As we move into the new year, we remain committed to helping rebuild these communities and bringing hope to those who need it most. Thank you for standing with us on this journey.
In Summary:
350 meals prepared and handed out at shelters,
300 bags with 1 week of groceries,
150 bags of cleaning supplies,
756 bags of rice/ soy packs for a week,
115 hygiene kits
45 sleeping bags
40 mosquito needs
14 new mattress with bedding
14 tubs of food for pastors
14 packets of clothes
Families Impacted: 1,420 mas o menos (23 communities/ villages)
We also had the joy of hosting a Christmas program at a couple of our sites. The turnout was incredible, and it was such a special time! We handed out small gifts to the children, and seeing their faces light up as they unwrapped their presents was absolutely priceless.
Moments like these remind us how much of a blessing it is to serve these communities. The joy and gratitude I witnessed filled my heart.
We are excited for this summer! If you feel called to missions, this is a great step! You could intern and spend your summer spreading the good news of Jesus!
I feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to spend Christmas and New Year with my family back in the States. It was a much-needed time of rest and recharge, and I’m so grateful for the chance to reconnect with loved ones.
