Connections
What a blessing it has been to connect with local churches and share about missions! Last week, I had the opportunity to share about what I’ll be doing in Costa Rica with Rise Church, and it was such an encouraging time. I met so many wonderful people.
One of my favorite parts of this season of fundraising and sharing about missions is the opportunity to build meaningful connections with others who have a heart for Jesus and to spread his name. I’m so grateful for every conversation, prayer, and word of encouragement along the way!
Rise Kids
I also had the opportunity to share briefly during the adult service and then spend time with the kiddos afterward! These kids were so sweet, and I had such a fun time with them.
Together, we “went” on a mission trip to Costa Rica! We learned about Costa Rican culture, and I shared a few fun stories from my time there.
One of their favorites was the story about the time I traveled to Sarapiquí for a night service and got attacked by a swarm of beetles! I probably had ten beetles in my hair, and later I even found some in my pockets! The kids thought it was hilarious, and their laughter made the moment even more memorable.
It’s such an honor to share with children about the importance of spreading the Gospel. When I was close to their age, God began placing a deep burden for the lost on my heart, so it’s incredibly special to encourage the next generation to follow His call as well.
